FIRST DAY BACK

Introduction to Year 3:

Leading up to the start of this week I was rather nervous about returning back to University and starting Year 3 as it has been such a big break during the holidays and also I have been having problems thinking what I could possibly do for BA7's Studio Project. But going in on Monday wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Firstly the Year 3 studio feels more welcoming and 'community' like which I prefer to the other studio I've used. We were first sat down to a number of lectures as a welcome to Year 3 and briefing of the project coming up. Over the first 2 weeks of the term we will be doing a Collaboration Project to get us started back into the way of working and thinking from the summer break. Glyn's talks made me feel slightly more relaxed about BA7, basically saying that if you haven't thought of a project yet it is okay. We still have time to think about our ideas. We were also briefed about the Research Report and what is expected. I've been paired with Rachel Peel for the Collaboration Project and I have never worked or socialised with her before, so it will be good to get to know her and also work and learn from each other over the next 2 weeks.
